I really enjoyed playing at this Golf Course. The fairways were excellent and well taken care of the greens were in great shape. Overall I give this course the perfect score on all counts.

I played the course with a tee time booked from an external site.
The course was in very good shape. Although the greens weren't quick, they rolled true.
We played on a Sunday at mid morning and our round was about 5 hours. I would expect this to be fairly normal.
The GPS carts were useful - two minor gripes though. No sand mix bottle to refill divots [important on a course with water features where divots frequently end up in the water] and a fixed windshield on the cart.

The fairways and greens were soft because of extra water needed due to the heat but the conditions were great anyway. The pace of play for a tuesday was way too slow. It took 5 1/2 hours to play and we waited on every tee box but that is my only complaint. The scenery and course are really the best in the area and the layout is a challenge in some spots and easy in others. It's really a nice blend of holes for any level of golfer. The staff is friendly and professional and I would recommend this course to all. Vacation worthy? Well if you happen to be in Fairfield for a vacation then yes, but is Fairfield a vacation spot? I had a great time with 3 people I just met on that day. I will play again in the future I'm sure.

First time that I have ever played the course. I was shocked at how good of an experience I had. We had a foursome from all around the Bay Area and we throughly enjoyed the day.

One of the nicest public courses I've played. Has the look and feel of a country club course.

Great course for the area. Discounts for advanced reservations make it more affordable. Beautiful and somewhat challenging. I am a 9 handicap and always enjoy this course.

Played in a tournament, so no comment on green fees. Best greens I've seen all season. Don't have to score well to enjob course.

Fairways are cut too tight, otherwise course in good condition. Starting to make reductions in fees. Other better courses in area already have.

Rancho Solano - is one of my favorite courses to play.
The Greens are monstrous in size and challenging. Course conditions are exellent and pace of play was 4.5 - 5 hrs.
Carts are equipped with GPS course view (distance & hazards) and it spoils you.
Highly recommend playing, worth the drive from the Bay Area or Sacramento area.

Rancho Solano is one of my favorite courses. It is a beautiful course in beautiful surroundings. The view out over the willow trees and the lake from the number 5 tee box is one of the best. A very well drained course, it can be played just after a winter rain. Challenging, yet usually forgiving, Rancho Solano is a good test for all levels. Try the mushroom jack burger at the turn. It is also one of the best.

love the size of the greens ---- turn down the wind...play early for best results....had some trouble with the gps distances in the cart being quite different than what was on the course.....

I really like this course -- better than it's sister course, Paradise Valley. The first three holes play into the teeth of the wind. Great layout, fun place to play.

Use the course web site and get one of their specials, I payed $52 per player this was for green fees, cart, and any lunch item on their menu. Fun course, good people, and great food.

Lots of elevation changes but pretty wide open. Can be pretty slow in the peak hours on the weekend. The resident price helps make this a fair price. For as much play they get the course is in pretty good condition.

Course better than most. Pace of play a bit slow for my taste. Can get windy

Excellent course. Well maintained for a public course. Better than some private courses.
